R+W offers a full-service consultancy to companies which consider design as a competitive advantage. R+W skills come from over 30 years combined experience of Gregorio Cappa and Rudi von Wedel in communication, marketing, consumer trends and product strategies for design companies, with particular attention to design for the “home” from construction materials, to furnishings to objects to electrical appliances. The Studio employs 15 professionals drawn from different competence fields, from industrial design to communication. Rudi Von Wedel
Has the flexibility and creativity born of twenty years as a consultant. Having started his career with Gianni Ratto Studio (1983-1986), von Wedel opened his own public relations agency in 1987 with special focus on the design interiors sector. Over the years he has acquired expertise in different spheres formulating tailor-made communication strategies for his clients and adding a design and communication management consultancy to resolve companies difficulties with product strategy and communication. Von Wedel is the link between the companies and well known designers, some of whom he has contributed to launch.
Gregorio Cappa
Has the pragmatism of a businessman, acquired through managerial experience with leading names in design, fashion and distribution. He began by designing office accessories for Nava Milano in 1986, then worked for Alchimia before joining Cappellini in 1989 as Research & Development Manager. In 1994 he moved to London where he was a buyer for Habitat UK. He then joined Selfridges as Head of Buying for the home department. He gained experience of the American market as Director of Licensing for Donna Karan home division. In 1999 he returned to Italy as Head of Buying and Style for Giorgio Armani’s Casa Collection. In 2002 he decided to continue his profession as a consultant and became a partner of R+W Design & Brand Management.
